What to Expect & What to Bring
Moving to any new setting can be difficult and residents, as well as family members, need time to adjust. At Maple Crest we understand how difficult this change can be, therefore our staff members take the extra time to make sure residents and families are comfortable and informed.
Upon arrival at Maple Crest we begin getting to know new residents individual needs, interests and expectations. Shortly after getting settled into the community, typically within 72 hours, we schedule a meeting with the resident, family members and key staff to answer any questions, discuss care needs and any specialized programs or requirements. During these first several days residents will meet a number of staff members who will play essential role in their recovery and help them return to a lifestyle to which they are accustomed.
We encourage residents to make themselves as comfortable as possible in the community and want to make Maple Crest feel like home. Residents can personalize their home with mementos or begin a fresh start – the choice is up to you. When you choose to move to Maple Crest, we will provide you with a complete list of items to bring that will make your stay more comfortable.
During this transition period, or at any time in the future, should you or a family member have questions about Maple Crest– we’re happy to answer any questions you might have.
